The ketogenic diet

is a strict but an extremely effective and scientifically sound diet. It’s a high fat, moderate protein and an extremely low carb diet where the liver produces ketone bodies from the breakdown of fat and that’s where it gets its name from.

The mechanism

Normally, your body turns to glucose/carbohydrate as its primary source of energy. By depriving your body of all forms carbohydrates, your body can no longer continue to utilize carbs. We provide the body with more than adequate essential fats and this readily available fat tricks the body into burning fat as its primary source of energy. We then keep the total calorie count less than what you expend causing the body to dig into those fat reserves which are reservoirs of energy. Your body basically becomes a fat melting machine.

Sit as less as you can

Workout preferably resistance training in any form will hasten the weight loss process. We suggest, you start working out 2 weeks after starting our subscription, when you are fully ketoadapted.

Eat your breakfast late and dinner early

If at all you feel hungry or like snacking you can have cheese, almonds, coconut flesh

If you feel thirsty you can have plenty of water, lemon with salt, green tea without sugar or milk

Sleep well for at least 7-8 hours

Check your weight, abdominal circumference daily and your blood ketones weekly if possible.

After getting keto adapted, if you want quicker results or you hit a plateau you can skip dinner.

Dont's

Please avoid eating anything other than what is provided Items rich in carbohydrates will knock you out of ketosis. (Your body switches back to carbohydrate burning). This will set you 3 days back in the cycle and will delay your results.

Grains – wheat, corn, rice, ragi, oats, millets, cereal, bread etc.

Sugar – honey, maple syrup, jaggery, sugar sweetened beverages such as coke, pepsi anything sweet.

Fruit except strawberry and blueberry (in limited quantities) and fruit juices (even sugarless)

Tubers – potato, yams, etc.

Dairy – Milk, curd should not be had without checking in with us.
